The project proposes a contemporary reinterpretation of the pharmacy as a spatial and retail environment, where functionality, materiality and visual identity are brought together through a clear architectural language.
The interior is structured around a restrained palette of white and green, establishing a bright and cohesive atmosphere while allowing the products to remain visually prominent. Warm wood elements introduce a tactile contrast to the predominantly light palette, creating a continuous material relationship between the flooring and the lower furniture elements.
The spatial organisation is defined by a clear hierarchy between display and service. At eye level, integrated white shelving maintains a visually calm backdrop, while perforated panels and flexible metal components introduce adaptability into the display system. The modular character of these elements allows the retail environment to respond to changing product requirements without compromising the overall composition.
At the centre of the space, the green service zone establishes a distinct visual layer. The shift in colour and the introduction of metal detailing create a focal point within the interior, defining the service area while simultaneously structuring the movement of the user through the space.
Rather than treating the pharmacy as a conventional retail environment, the project explores how colour, materiality and spatial hierarchy can shape perception and circulation. The result is a contemporary interior in which the architectural language supports both the operational requirements of the pharmacy and a more intuitive customer experience.

PHARMACY
FUNKY CEDAR
The project involves the renovation and interior design of Funky Cedar Bar, a hospitality venue located in Antiparos, Cyclades, Greece, completed in 2021.
The design explores a contemporary interpretation of the Cycladic vernacular, drawing inspiration from the island’s architectural language and natural landscape. Locally sourced stone, whitewashed surfaces and traditional blue accents establish a material and chromatic palette that connects the interior with its Mediterranean context.
The spatial concept focuses on creating a relaxed and informal environment while maintaining a strong sense of material continuity. Natural textures and warm timber elements introduce tactility and contrast against the mineral character of the stone and whitewashed surfaces. The selection of materials also responds to the demanding conditions of a seasonal hospitality environment, balancing aesthetic character with durability and ease of maintenance.
The seating areas are organised to create an intimate and comfortable atmosphere, while the lighting strategy enhances the material qualities of the interior and establishes a warm ambience throughout the space.
Rather than reproducing the traditional Cycladic aesthetic literally, the project translates familiar elements of the island’s architectural identity into a contemporary hospitality setting. The result is a relaxed, tactile interior that connects materiality, local character and contemporary functionality.

The Design Approach Follows An “Inside-Out” Concept, Creating A Visual And Material Connection Between The Interior Spaces And Their Natural Surroundings. A Warm Palette Of Earthy Colours, Natural Materials And Textural Elements Establishes A Calm And Welcoming Atmosphere, While References To The Traditional “Village” Character Of Chalkidiki Add A Sense Of Familiarity And Place.
The Result Is A Contemporary Interpretation Of The Traditional Chalkidiki Holiday Experience, Designed To Feel Relaxed, Authentic And Closely Connected To Its Natural Setting.

HOUSE LEYKADA
The project proposes a contemporary interpretation of island living, where openness, natural light, and a calm, refined atmosphere are brought together through a modern architectural language rooted in the Mediterranean context.
The interior is structured around a neutral, restrained palette, establishing a bright and cohesive atmosphere throughout the home. Warm wood finishes introduce a tactile, natural contrast to the light palette, while subtle earthy accents create a continuous material relationship between the different living areas.
The spatial organisation is defined by a clear hierarchy between the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen areas. The double-height living space serves as the heart of the home, enhancing spatial continuity and creating a strong visual connection between levels. Soft furnishings and clean-lined furniture balance comfort with contemporary elegance throughout.
At key points within the interior, carefully selected lighting establishes a distinct layer of depth. The placement and character of these fixtures create focal points within the space, highlighting architectural features while simultaneously guiding the movement of the user through the home.
Rather than treating the residence as a conventional living space, the project explores how colour, materiality, and spatial hierarchy can shape everyday living and entertaining. The result is a contemporary interior in which the architectural language supports both the functional requirements of the home and a relaxed, sophisticated island lifestyle.
